The Village of Westhampton Beach offers waterfront living and dining, high-end shopping, and the performing arts, all in a charming downtown close to the white sandy beaches off Dune Road.
A wealthy coastal community with a small-town feel
An upscale resort community, Westhampton Beach has a vibrant downtown with boutique shops, small restaurants, and a highly rated school system. A performing arts center draws audiences from throughout the East End. With a town dock just steps from Main Street, area residents can ride into town on their boat. Just over the drawbridge along Dune Road lie some of the most pristine beaches in the Hamptons, popular with weekenders and full-time residents alike.
Traditional cottages on Main Street and beachfront mansions
The real estate market in Westhampton Beach is one of the hottest in the Hamptons. Homes on village streets within walking distance to Main Street are coveted nearly as much as oceanfront villas. While Westhampton has a healthy inventory of condominiums starting around $200,000, single-family homes begin around $500,000. Most of the newer gable-roofed, cedar-shingle homes start in the $3 million range, with Dune Road homes usually listed for $6 million and up.
No matter the season, this barrier beach is a no-brainer. From November to May, walk on your own or in organized groups to look for seals.
With its period marquee and art deco lobby, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center has hosted some of the biggest names in music, comedy and drama.
Located on famed Dune Road, John Scott’s has a casual, beachy vibe, and serves excellent seafood on a lively outdoor patio.
