She began her career in luxury real estate at the landmark firm, Allan M. Schneider Associates, Inc., in 1992, and, in 2006, she joined Sotheby's International Realty. Her background in commercial banking, historic renovation, and understanding of local zoning and planning code has served as a foundation in listing and selling a multitude of properties, including historic homes, new construction, vacant land, and horse farms. Barbara's breadth of knowledge and dedication to the East End is also evident in her close involvement with the community. For over twenty years, she has served as a board member for non-profits and local government agencies, including the Southampton Trails Preservation Society, Horses on Trails, Southampton Town Trail Advisory Board, and Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt to ensure that the beauty of the Hamptons is preserved and properly maintained for the enjoyment of future generations.
